Friends of Payne’s Prairie is a not-for-profit organization that works with Payne’s Prairie Preserve State Park staff to promote the park through education, visitor services, resource management, and activities in the community.

Who they are: Friends of Payne’s Prairie promotes Payne’s Prairie Preserve State Park. The park is known for incredible views of wildlife. The primary feature of the park is the 16,000-acre Payne’s Prairie.

What YOU can do to help: Volunteer Opportunities:

La Chua Trail (staff the interpretation & outreach station on the la Chua trail on weekends in 4-hr shifts Nov.-Mar.)

Visitor Center & Ranger Station (especially Fri.-Sun.; greet visitors, share info about Payne‘s Prairie Preserve State Park)
