Who they are: They provide baskets of food for lower-income school children to consume during winter break.  Many families depend on the public school system to supply breakfast and lunch for their children during the school days.  When school is out for a few weeks during winter break, this often puts a financial strain and burden on the families to provide those additional meals each day.

What YOU can do to help: Volunteers are needed to put together baskets and bags to donate.  Once completed, these baskets and bags can be dropped off at the following locations (in 2010):

Servin Building, 1725 SE 1st Ave.

Chiles Elementary School, 2525 Schoolhouse Rd

Hidden Oak Elementary, 9205 NW 23rd Ave.

Terwilliger Elementary School, 301 NW 62nd St.

Kirby Smith Center, 620 E. University Ave.
