The American Cancer Society Winn-Dixie Hope Lodge provides a home-like atmosphere to out-of-town cancer patients receiving medical treatment in Gainesville hospitals and medical centers.

Who they are: The Winn-Dixie Hope Lodge is part of the American Cancer Society.   

What they do: The American Cancer Society Winn-Dixie Hope Lodge has 45 large suites to house cancer patients (free of charge) from out-of-town who are receiving medical treatment in Gainesville.   

What YOU can do to help : Volunteer are needed to share and care with the residents at Hope Lodge.  Volunteers serve as receptionists, organize complimentary dinners, and organize activities for the residents such as Bingo games.  You can volunteer anywhere from a few hours a month to a few hours each week.  You can volunteer individually or with a group.  You can volunteer on an ongoing basis or as a one-time project
