Shands Arts in Medicine program (AIM) involves volunteers and artists engaging staff, families
and patients in the creative disciplines of drama, music, dance, visual arts, mind/body programs and
writing.

Who they are: Their mission is to “allow patients and families to participate in activities that enhance
the hospital experience and then to display their work in order to personalize the physical setting and make it
more inspiring.”
What YOU can do to help: If you would like to volunteer with this program, contact the AIM Volunteer
Coordinator using the contact information listed above. The Volunteer Coordinator will help you find your niche in
this program. Many of the student volunteers have been able to get course credit for their volunteer efforts with
