What they do: Project Linus
collects blankets so that traumatized and seriously ill
children can feel warmth, comfort, love, and a sense of
security.
What YOU can do to help: Volunteers are
needed to make and donate blankets, quilts, and afghans
for children ages 0-18. Each blanket must be new,
washable, and handmade. Blankets could be tied
comforters, fleece blankets, receiving blankets,
crocheted afghans, knitted afghans, and sewn
quilts. The blankets should be in kid-friendly
colors, free of any pins, and come from a smoke-free
environment. Most blankets are 40 inches by 60
inches. Blankets could be as small at 3 feet by 3
feet or as big as a twin size bed.
