What YOU can do to
help: Volunteers are needed in the following
areas:
Living History Days
volunteer demonstrators
Volunteer demonstrators talk about
life in North Central Florida in the 19th century and show visitors traditional trades
and crafts such as soap making, weaving, woodworking, blacksmithing, period folk music, and spinning.
Living History Days occur on Saturdays from September to May.
Winter Cane Boil
and Youth Fiddle Contest volunteers
Volunteers at this annual event on a Saturday in November work a morning or evening shift and help out
during this event. Visitors to this event sample fresh biscuits and cane syrup, visit the farm animals,
listen to live folk music, etc.
