What they do: The Gators Teens mentorship program has a mission to prepare “at-risk” high school students
for a life beyond high school that is focused on civic engagement and continued education. The mentors act as
positive role models and influences for the high school students and help them develop skills and plans to pursue a
furthered education successfully. At weekly meetings, the mentors and mentees discuss family, school and the future
and work to improve upon academic skills, future education preparation, and life-long skills.
What YOU can do to help: If you are a college student at UF and would like to be a Gator Teens mentor,
