Who they are: Florida Project Learning Tree, an environmental education program, uses
forests and trees to help students understand their environment, to develop their ability to make informed
choices on issues related to the environment, to instill in the students a commitment to take action and be
responsible concerning the environment, and to stimulate creative and critical thinking in the

What YOU can do to help: Volunteers are needed to man exhibits at events, create
marketing items such as fliers, make connections with nature centers and schools, conduct activities, and
help prepare items for shipping. PLT trained educators (those attending a 6-hour PLT training workshop) are
needed to assist in giving workshops and making presentations at conferences and meetings. If you wish to
volunteer, send an e-mail to request a volunteer application.
