elderly in the community and to providing services to enrich the quality of life for
seniors.

What YOU can do to help: Volunteers are needed in the following areas:
Meals on Wheels Program: Deliver lunch to seniors who are homebound Monday-Friday between
10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Fundraisers: Sponsor a fundraiser.
Al’z Place: Assist seniors who have Alzheimer’s or other memory
impairment with activities. Serve lunch. Al’z Place is open from 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mon-Fri
each week.
Congregate Mealsites: Entertain at the congregate meal sites by playing the piano,
singing, juggling, dancing, or other talents.
Publicity: Help publicize Eldercare in the community.
Sponsor a class at the Alachua County/City of Gainesville Senior Recreation Center: Teach a
class with a special talent or knowledge that you have to share.
