Who they are: Animal People, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that is committed to rescuing and helping all animals, but focuses on animals in desperate situations who might not be able to survive in county shelters due to medically manageable diseases, old age, or the need for extensive surgery.

What they do: Animal People, Inc. provides specialized care for the animals and gives them time to rehabilitate and become social, healthy, happy animals before placing them in homes. Animal People, Inc. rescues 300-350 animals a year on average.

What YOU can do to help: Volunteers are needed in the following areas:

Weekend adoptions (Held every Saturday & Sunday from 11a.m. to 5p.m. at the Archer Road PetSmart in Gainesville.)

Fundraising

Foster a pet (Providing a temporary loving environment for pets waiting to be adopted.)
