What they do:
Members of ASG mentor at-risk elementary school kids in after school programs. They provide homework help
and organize activities such as crafts and kickball.
What YOU can do to
help: If you are a student at the University of
Florida, you can become a member of this service organization and volunteer to mentor and create fun activities
for children in after-school programs who need your help and encouragement. Volunteers commit to
volunteering 2 hours a week between 2:00 and 5:30 (Wednesday starts at 12:30 instead of 2). There are five
schools where After School Gators volunteer:
Lake Forest Elementary School (4401 SE 4th Ave, 32641)
M.K. Rawlings Elementary School (3500 NE 15th St., 32609)
Joseph Williams Elementary School (1245 SE 7th Ave, 32641)
Metcalfe Elementary School (1250 NE 18th Ave, 32609)
Idylwild Elementary School (4601 SW 20th Terr., 32608)
